Parts of Kalamazoo river may reopen soon
LANSING — Some sections of the Kalamazoo River that have been closed to recreationalists since an oil spill last summer might be reopened by mid-to-late August, a health official said Friday.

On July 1, one of our nation’s wilderness treasures became the latest site of a devastating oil spill, when an estimated 42,000 gallons of oil spewed from a ruptured Exxon Mobil pipeline into the Yellowstone River in Montana .
