Are there cases where attempting to outrun a tornado is recommended?

Like say if theres no buildings, no sewers or ditches just flat land around. Is it ok now to try to outrun the tornado or are you ****** either way? I’d say it’s better than just sitting there waiting for the thing to hit you especially if it’s a 2.5 mile wide EF5 tornado.

I want to start a company that builds ultra resistant homes. The houses would be tornado, fire, water, termites and pests resistant. What’s your take on this?

I was in the Joplin one and it was an F5. I know they’re pretty rare. What’s the chance of something like that happening again, or the chances of being in any tornado? I’m still in Joplin, so I’ve not left tornado alley.
