What can I do with my disaster hair?

I have run out of hope. My hair is so hard to control. I hate that I have to straighten it all the time, but my natural hair is a mess:

Obviously the left half has been straightened. The right is natural with a little hair cream.
(Yes, this photo is a disaster as is purely for reference reasons. Leave me alone )

My natural curls are really small and tight, which gives me the messy afro effect. IDEALLY I would like looser, long curls with less volume. For example:

Of course, I know you can do this with irons- but is there a method I could use while my hair is still wet so that it will dry this way overnight?

My hair is naturally very dry, but that’s the one thing I have under control. I use Aragon oil and deep conditioner all the time.

Editing disaster!! How to do it right and fast!?

So I am an aspiring photographer, and I’ve done quite a few good shoots in my short amount of time. But I still don’t understand some techniques.
If you take 100 pictures at a shoot, how do you decide which ones to upload on flickr or give to the model?
How do you blur the background so well and get all of the pictures to look so perfect?
I’ve only been able to take good pictures of myself and I honestly don’t know how to sell myself as a photographer.
How do I choose which ones to edit? And my all time biggest question is about the editing. I’m great at the picture part so far, but I don’t understand how to get the picture to the finished product.
I really need to know some tips on how to do all of this, but get it done fast. I don’t have a lot of time to edit, but i feel like I’d go faster if I actually knew what I was doing.

Whoever answers this I have adobe photoshop elements, lightroom, and photofiltre. One of the biggest questions I have is how to blur the background and create a beautiful photo.

I just got back from Turkey, and my hair was a real pain whenever i came out of the sea or the pool.

BP had reason to believe that rig needed maintenance but neglected it until it was too late. The government was not informed about it until it had already taken place. The government responded the same day they were informed of the spill. Obama has continue to since day one he was informed, the efforts to clean up the mess, and industry republicans don’t want oversight on. If government had been involved, the spill would had been responded early enough to protect the marine life areas. But that would be socialist, according to republicans. And Obama would not be allowed to succeed in pushing for future measures by the party of NO.

Forecast of a Hurricane named katrina was made that it would hit New Orleans in a matter of weeks. The potential of the levy failing was made known years before, and reminded again before Katrina hit New Orleans. Once again, the potential for life lost if the city was not advocated was also made clear. The local and federal government, after being informed did not take any pro-active measures to ensure that the population was out of harms way. During the disaster, Bush spend that day celebrating McCains birthday, while the rest of the nation looked upon at the devastation of New Orleans. Two weeks after the disaster hit, Bush flew over, and a week later, he send the some responders in.

Bush was informed that the potential for an attack was imminent, 9 months later the attack took place and bush was caught with his pants down. 9 months to prepare, and secure the U.S., with a Republican super majority, and nothing was done or attempted to guard our country. But what did Bush do when he was informed that the country was being attacked, he kept reading a book to kids for photo ops.
Spin away Republicans, spin spin deny deny deny.
I know I know, you are going to claim that bill should had killed Bin Laden when he had the chance, because Bush/Republican Majority were to impotent to secure the country in 9 months. 9 months, that is 9 months.

Not to mention, Bin Laden neither planned, nor flew the plains. So Bin Laden dead or alive would not had changed the outcome of that attack, as it was planned and executed by other terrorist cells.
